Working in an unsafe environment every day will make you miserable. When you work, you want and deserve to feel and be safe. Federal laws like the Occupational Safety and Health Act ("OSHA") and various state laws are designed to protect employees from dangerous conditions and hazards that may cause serious harm or death. These laws allow an employee to anonymously question unsafe conditions, request inspections, file worker's compensation claims, or file a private lawsuit to correct the unsafe conditions without fear of retaliation. These laws also require literally hundreds of measures to be in place by employers in order to ensure safety compliance.
