ESTATE PLANNING
You work hard accumulating assets and wealth. I work equally hard to help you preserve it. First, I will listen, and then, I will listen more.
Preserving family assets when a parent has to go into a nursing home is only one of the important strategies to consider in estate planning. Without a will and proper planning, inheritance and tax issues could add unnecessary stress to the family. With a thorough analysis of assets and needs, I help my clients take advantage of asset protection measures and ensure that their assets end up where they desire.
A simple estate plan generally includes a will, health care proxy, durable power of attorney, trust, and sometimes a living will. A more extensive estate plan can also include strategies and tools such as educational trusts, charitable trusts, Medicaid qualifying trusts, supplemental needs trusts, business succession, and insurance planning.
Unique and custom strategies are available for any circumstances, including for gay and lesbian couples and families with step-children and other non-traditional arrangements.
